Questions and answers.

Who is the ELITE program for?

ELITE is for student-athletes ages 12 to 21. It is a full-year soccer program on the B1 campus in Barcelona or Dubai. It combines B1 training, official competition, academics and residence. It is designed for athletes who want to excel in their sport, their studies and their personal development.

How long does ELITE last, and when does it start?

ELITE lasts a full academic year. The current intake is the 2026–2027 season. Training, competition and study run across the whole season. During admission, B1 pre-assigns the residence and, in Barcelona, the club. It then prepares each athlete’s arrival. Physical and medical tests take place at the start of the program.

Which sport does ELITE train?

ELITE is a soccer program. Every ELITE athlete follows the B1 methodology. That means five high-performance soccer sessions a week. Two strength and conditioning sessions are added each week. Positional training takes place every two weeks.

What is the difference between ELITE in Barcelona and Dubai?

B1 training is the same on both campuses. Competition, school and residence change. In Barcelona, athletes compete with a local club. They study at Agora Sant Cugat International School, an IB World School. They live at Alba Viu or Garbí. In Dubai, athletes compete as the B1 team in the Dubai Academy League. They study with Minerva School, online. They live at Yugo Dubailand.

How does competition work?

In Barcelona, B1 places every ELITE athlete with a local club. B1 cannot field its own team in the city. The club is pre-assigned during admission, together with the residence. Athletes train with the club two to three times a week. They play an official game with it every week.

In Dubai, B1 has its own team. It competes in the Dubai Academy League. ELITE athletes train and compete as the B1 team. They play an official league game every week.

What are the ELITE formats, and how do they differ?

ELITE has four formats. ELITE 360 includes training, residence and academics. ELITE BOARDING adds residence services to training. ELITE ACADEMICS adds academic services to training, without residence. ELITE TRAINING covers training, competition and athlete support. Every format includes the full B1 methodology.

How much does a soccer academy in Spain cost?

ELITE tuition starts at €15,270 per season, for ELITE TRAINING in 2026–2027. ELITE ACADEMICS is €32,470, ELITE BOARDING €37,290 and ELITE 360 €49,790 per season. Pay in full or in 6 installments: the enrollment fee first, installment 1 (about 30%) after visa approval, then installments 2–6 between the 25th and 30th of July, September, November, January and March.

How do ELITE athletes keep up with school?

The academic program is taught in English. Athletes get weekly academic support adapted to their training schedule. In Barcelona, Agora Sant Cugat International School offers the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program and Diploma. For athletes ages 16 and over, Barcelona also offers a language school (Spanish and Catalan), coaching courses, university access programs and other educational programs. Where do ELITE athletes live, and who supervises them?

Boarding athletes live in B1’s residences: Alba Viu or Garbí in Barcelona, Yugo Dubailand in Dubai. Each athlete has a private room with bathroom. All meals are included. Supervision and support run 24/7. In Spain, athletes under 18 who do not live with a parent need a legal guardian. Families can name one or use the B1 Legal Guardian Service.

What does a typical ELITE week include?
